The Canadian real estate market is soaring to new heights with the largest third quarter resale housing activity ever recorded. According to CREA the number of home sales in the third quarter of 2009 totalled 135,182 units. The number of transactions was up 18 per cent from the July to September period of last year, making this the largest year-over-year increase since 2002.

Furthermore, seasonally adjusted national MLS home sales numbered 127,941 units in the third quarter of 2009, an increase of 12 per cent from the previous quarter.

Across the country, the national average price has continued to rise, up 11 per cent from the same time last year.

The sustained increase in sales activity and a sharp rebound in sales activity of higher-end home prices have helped residential prices surpass all previous monthly levels in September 2009. These prices rose to $331,602, an increase of 13.6 per cent.

At ADRESZ the result are even more astounding with an increase of 211% in the volume of sales compared with the third quarter of 2008.

This phenomenal growth is the result of several factors. First and foremost, due to the new tools and training, same agents sales have seen an increase of 37% compared with same quarter of last year. The training over the internet as well as morning and evening training sessions at the office enjoyed a great success among ADRESZ affiliates.

The second factor is the continuous growth in number of agents. During the last twelve months we have seen not only new and experienced agents joining the ADRESZ family, but also the opening of the fourth Adresz office: Adresz Solutions in Saint Laurent. Its owner, Patrick Gramuglia, an agent that started his career at ADRESZ after graduating his real estate course at John Abbott College, proves to be the first from his class to own a real estate office.
